Virginia Laws & Regulation Update
In 1996, the state of Virginia passed a law to certify massage therapists with
500 hours of education as health professionals to be regulated by the nursing
board. But some therapists say that despite the legislative stamp of approval
and protected title, they are no better off than they were prior to passage of
the law.
